Blinka
Blinka has never met a sparkle she thought was unnecessary.
If something shines, glimmers, twinkles, gleams, or catches the light for even a moment, Blinka notices it immediately. If something does not sparkle, she usually fixes that herself.
Stars appear wherever Blinka goes.
She cuts them from scraps of cloth, bits of paper, old sail canvas, and anything else she can convince into becoming a star. Before long they find their way onto coats, hats, blankets, lanterns, and occasionally unsuspecting nisser.
Blinka is a member of the Sapphire Council and the Keeper of Sparkle and Joy.
She journeyed to Lofoten from her home in Trondheim after being called by the Sapphire Light. Dancing across the decks of Stifinner, Blinka carries joy the way others carry lanterns—holding it high so others can find their way toward it.
Sparkle, Blinka believes, is not something you wear.
It is something you notice.
A beautiful sky. A kind word. A good laugh. A friend who stays beside you when the fog rolls in. The world is filled with small lights waiting to be seen, and Blinka is determined not to miss a single one.
She insists she is exceptionally talented at spotting sparkle. Others sometimes point out that she seems equally talented at creating it. Blinka sees no meaningful difference between the two.
It is Blinka who reminds Finn that joy is not reserved for perfect days. Even when the sea is hidden by fog and the way ahead cannot be seen, she teaches him that a small light still matters. Sometimes finding your way forward begins by noticing what is already shining nearby.
Though cheerful by nature, Blinka's joy is never shallow. She understands that courage can grow tired and hope can feel distant. When it does, she quietly helps others remember the things worth smiling about.
If a star appears where no star existed before...
If laughter returns when the day seemed gray...
If a tiny spark somehow becomes enough light to continue...
That will be Blinka.
