Brikk

Brikk is rarely quiet—and never on purpose.

He trips over doorstones, bumps into tables, and drops what he’s carrying at least once before remembering to hold it properly. When Brikk arrives, something usually clatters. When it does, he laughs first, so everyone else knows it’s all right.

Brikk is a member of the Emerald Council and the Keeper of Expression.

He says what others are thinking but haven’t yet found the words for—sometimes sideways, sometimes out loud, and often with the wrong name entirely. Gulls are beggy birds. Squirrels are twitchy tails. Everyone knows what he means, even when the words wobble a bit getting there.

Expression, Brikk believes, should never be trapped inside. Feelings must be spoken, laughter must be heard, and joy must be allowed to spill across the floor now and then. When the Emerald Light risks becoming too careful or too quiet, Brikk is the one who breaks the silence—usually by accident.

Though he is clumsy of foot, his heart is steady. He has a way of putting Finnik or Skavre back in their place with a single honest comment, never unkind and never crossing a line. He means well. He always has.

If something is said that needed saying…
If laughter softens a tense moment…
If a mistake turns into a story instead of a scolding…

That will be Brikk.
