Ljosne
Ljosne is never far from dreaming.
You will often notice her in the quiet corners—the places where the world slows just enough for sleep to begin. Her head may rest gently against a stool, a wall, or even her own shoulder, her small teddy tucked safely in her arms. There is always a softness about her, as though she has just drifted in from somewhere unseen.
She carries dreams the way others carry light.
Ljosne gathers inspiration like others gather fireflies, catching small glimmers of thought and wonder before they fade. She moves between sleeping minds, weaving gentle threads of possibility from one heart to another. No one ever quite sees her arrive, and no one ever hears her leave—but something always feels different after she has been near.
Her words rarely come to completion.
Ljosne often begins to speak, only to pause mid-sentence as a quiet yawn overtakes her. Thoughts drift from her lips unfinished, but never lost. What she cannot say aloud, she carries into dreams, where meaning settles more deeply than words ever could. Her hair is rarely neat, her braids loosening with each moment of rest, as though even they have grown sleepy beside her.
Ljosne is a member of the Emerald Council and the Keeper of Dreams.
Where Søvna’s lullaby opens the door, Ljosne walks quietly through it. She gathers the melodies left behind and carries them into the dreaming mind, where they become vision, inspiration, and truth. It is through Ljosne that Aksel begins to understand that what is imagined in stillness can one day be brought into song.
To learn from Ljosne is to trust what cannot yet be explained.
That not every thought must be finished.
That not every path must be seen clearly.
That sometimes, the most important beginnings arrive while we are at rest.
Aksel comes to understand through Ljosne that dreams are not escapes—they are invitations. That inspiration often arrives softly, carried on the edge of sleep, waiting only to be remembered.
If your thoughts begin to wander without reason…
If an idea finds you just before you drift away…
If something unfinished lingers, waiting gently to return…
That will be Ljosne.
