Official Giveaway Rules
NO PURCHASE NECESSARY TO ENTER OR WIN. A PURCHASE WILL NOT INCREASE YOUR CHANCES OF WINNING.
1. Sponsor
The Nisser Tales Favorite Nisse Giveaway is sponsored by Nisser Tales (“Sponsor”).
2. Eligibility
The giveaway is open to readers of all ages.
Entries will be divided into two categories:
Young Reader Category: Readers under 18 years of age. A parent or legal guardian must submit the entry on the young reader’s behalf.
Adult Reader Category: Readers age 18 or older.
One winner will be selected from each category.
Entrants are not required to provide their exact age.
3. Giveaway Period
The giveaway begins on October 17, 2026 and ends on December 12, 2026 at 11:59 PM Eastern Time.
Entries received after the closing deadline will not be eligible.
4. How to Enter
To enter, complete the official Nisser Tales Favorite Nisse Giveaway entry form.
Each entry must include:
Favorite Nisse
Tell us the name of your favorite nisse from the Nisser Tales books.
Why They Are Your Favorite
Tell us briefly why you chose that nisse.
Entrant Information
Adult Reader entries must include the entrant’s name and valid email address.
Young Reader entries must include the young reader’s first name, along with the name and valid email address of the parent or legal guardian submitting the entry.
Please choose a nisse for this giveaway. Other Nisser Tales characters are not eligible for this particular drawing — they may have their own opportunity in the future.
5. Entry Limit
Limit one entry per person.
No purchase is necessary to enter or win. Purchasing a Nisser Tales book, product, or other merchandise will not improve an entrant’s chances of winning.
6. Winner Selection
One Young Reader winner and one Adult Reader winner will be selected at random from all eligible entries received in each category.
Entrants’ answers will not be judged based on writing ability, length, popularity, correctness, creativity, or any other subjective standard.
Each eligible entry within its category will have an equal opportunity to be selected.
Odds of winning depend upon the number of eligible entries received in each category.
7. Prizes
Young Reader Prize:
One Nisser Tales Prize Package containing a signed Nisser Tales book and an assortment of Nisser Tales merchandise. Approximate Retail Value: $70.00.
Adult Reader Prize:
One Nisser Tales Prize Package containing a signed Nisser Tales book and an assortment of Nisser Tales merchandise. Approximate Retail Value: $70.00.
Prize contents may vary. Specific merchandise items, designs, and characters will be selected by Nisser Tales and are subject to availability.
Prizes have no cash alternative and may not be exchanged for cash.
8. Winner Notification
Winners will be selected on or about December 13, 2026 and notified using the email address provided with the entry.
For a Young Reader winner, all communications regarding the prize will be directed to the parent or legal guardian who submitted the entry.
In order to help ensure prompt holiday delivery, the selected winner, or the parent or legal guardian of a Young Reader winner, must respond to the winner notification no later than December 15, 2026.
If a response is not received by that deadline, the selected entrant will forfeit the prize and another winner may be selected at random from the remaining eligible entries in that category.
9. Prize Delivery
A mailing address will be requested only from a confirmed winner, or from the parent or legal guardian of a confirmed Young Reader winner, and only for the purpose of delivering the prize.
Nisser Tales will make reasonable efforts to ship prizes promptly following winner confirmation.
Holiday delivery dates cannot be guaranteed and may be affected by postal or carrier delays, weather, or other circumstances outside the Sponsor’s control.
10. Winner Publicity
Following winner confirmation, Nisser Tales may ask the winner, or the parent or legal guardian of a Young Reader winner, for permission to announce the winner on Nissertales.com and/or official Nisser Tales social media.
If permission is granted, the announcement may include:
the winner’s first name
a general location, such as city and state or city and country
the winner’s favorite nisse
For Young Reader winners, permission must be provided by the parent or legal guardian.
Publicity consent is optional and is not required in order to receive a prize.
11. Privacy
Information collected in connection with this giveaway will be used to administer the giveaway, contact selected winners, confirm eligibility, and distribute prizes.
Entry information will not be sold or used to enroll entrants in marketing communications without separate permission.
Nisser Tales will collect only the information reasonably necessary to administer the giveaway.
12. General Conditions
Nisser Tales reserves the right to disqualify any entry that is incomplete, fraudulent, submitted in violation of these Official Rules, or otherwise interferes with the fair administration of the giveaway.
Nisser Tales reserves the right to modify, suspend, or cancel the giveaway if circumstances outside its reasonable control prevent the giveaway from being conducted fairly or as intended.
