Salla has spent her life following the great reindeer migrations across the tundra, where every season brings a new journey and every familiar face becomes part of the herd. Gentle but watchful, she never rushes to trust an unfamiliar hand. Like many reindeer, she prefers to observe first, learning the rhythm of a person's heart before deciding whether they belong.

Among all the camp's residents, Salla shares a special bond with Pute. His gentle scratches behind her ears and quiet companionship have long been among her favorite moments, and she happily seeks him out whenever he is near. When Mette first arrives, however, Salla keeps her distance, watching carefully as the newcomer learns the ways of the tundra.
