Tomas
Tomas lives along the rugged shores of Lofoten, where the sea shapes both the land and those who call it home.
Each morning, he rises before the harbor fully wakes. He walks the docks with a mug warming his hands and watches the water before setting out. The sea is never truly still. It shifts with wind, tide, weather, and season. Tomas has spent a lifetime learning its language—not to master it, but to respect it.
Those who know him often seek his company without entirely knowing why. Perhaps it is because Tomas listens the way old fishermen do: patiently, without interruption, and without hurry. He understands that people, like the sea, reveal themselves in their own time. He does not push. He does not demand. He waits, and in that waiting, others often find the answers they were searching for.
Lofoten has taught him many lessons. Some came from storms. Others came from calm waters that concealed unseen currents below. Tomas knows that direction is not always obvious, and that being lost is not the same as having no destination. More than once, he has helped someone find their course simply by standing beside them while they learned to trust themselves.
Tomas is one of the Story Tellers. Once a keeper of the Light in another form, he crossed the veil to carry its stories forward. His heart remains tied to the Sapphire Light—the Light of guidance, purpose, and true direction. Unlike the other Lights, the Sapphire Light is always moving. Its Council changes as new souls are called and new journeys begin. Yet Tomas is never surprised when they arrive. Long before the others recognize the call, he has already felt the tide shifting.
The sea still knows him. The Sapphire Light still finds its way through him. And along the docks of Lofoten, beneath gull cries and salt wind, Tomas waits for those who have forgotten their way—ready to remind them that every journey begins with a single heading.
