Vinda
Vinda is rarely found with her feet on the ground.
She drifts where the air carries her—barefoot, unhurried, listening more than speaking. While others walk paths worn smooth by time, Vinda floats above them, feeling the currents shift long before anyone else notices a change coming.
Vinda is a member of the Ruby Council and the Keeper of Wind.
She does not command the wind, nor does she try to hold it. She understands it. She knows when it will lift, when it will circle back on itself, and when it must be left alone to move freely. To Vinda, the wind is not chaos—it is conversation.
She glides rather than walks, her dress catching the air just below the knee, her hat crowned with butterfly wings as a quiet sign of her kinship with all things light and fleeting. Seeds, leaves, and whispered thoughts often follow in her wake. If something important is carried from one place to another, it is usually the wind—and Vinda—who brings it.
Among the nisser, she is the one who senses change before it arrives. When restlessness stirs, when a journey is near, or when the world seems to be holding its breath, Vinda already knows why. She does not rush to explain. She waits for others to feel it too.
The Ruby Light listens closely to her.
If a breeze passes that feels kinder than expected…
If a moment shifts without force or struggle…
If clarity arrives softly, as if carried in on air…
That will be Vinda.
